I'm a Texas native, born and raised in El Paso, Texas but relocated to San Antonio around the age of 8. Before I found myself in the mortgage industry in 1991, I owned a company in a different field. I needed a change from the daily stresses of owning a company, so I decided to become a mortgage professional. This gave me the flexibility I needed in a career and the opportunity to help people.

I have been married for 38 years and have 4 wonderful children that have grown to be successful adults. I am also proud to say that I have a new baby granddaughter that is just absolutely precious.

I grew up in a small town in Oklahoma and to this day espouse many of the same philosophies I learned in that small town. My first job as a grocery clerk lasted 5 years, starting the summer before 8th grade until I moved away to college. My boss taught me so many things: punctuality, respect of others, courteousness, to plan my work, and community involvement.

I recently joined Harbor Financial Mortgage after working 7 years with a national homebuilder's mortgage company. This experience taught me the importance of organization, setting of expectations, and getting the deal to close on time all while keeping the best interests of the customer at the forefront.

By recently joining SABOR as an affiliate member, I look forward to establishing new relationships with realtors. In my spare time I enjoy golfing, yard work, and traveling with my better half Brenda.

Managed the residential construction lending department of Gill Savwigs Association from 1985-1991. I have built and financed new homes for over 30 years making home ownership possible for thousands in Texas. During this time I have seen and participated in dramatic changes throughout the mortgage industry. After graduating from Southwest Texas State University (Texas State) in 1980, I entered the multifamily construction business in the building boom of the 1980's. The "Oil Crunch" and subsequent S & L collapse caused my first career change. In 1985, I joined The US Dept of HUD as a realty specialist until 1991 when the improving economy dictated my second career change: I decided to combine my experience with my degrees in finance and economics to enter the mortgage industry. I believe I found my calling; with 15 years experience in the mortgage lending business I have arrived at Harbor Financial Mortgage.

I moved to San Antonio from Chicago in 1990. Soon after, due to a personal experience, I became extremely interested in the Real Estate business, including Mortgage Financing. I obtained my license in Real Estate in 1995 and worked for a builder as an onsite agent. It was not until 2001 that I became a Licensed Loan Officer and a Loan Processor.

Due to the diversity of my experience, I guarantee to have my Homebuyer's best interests at heart, from our initial meeting to our closing, as I attend all of my closings. Born into a military family, I have lived in 2 countries and 4 states, making Texas my home for the past 9 years. My hobbies include teaching and performing dance, traveling and of course, shopping. I've been in sales for 10 years, working in the furniture business with my mother, and then becoming a sales associate.
